Your Role
As a Gensler Job Captain , you will work with a team of designers and architects in bringing design dreams to life. You will produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members to ensure our projects exceed client expectations.
What You Will Do
  • Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projects
  • Provide project team coordination for incorporating design intent into construction documentation
  • Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues and maintain quality control during construction
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 5+ years of professional experience in commercial interiors projects
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications and construction techniques
  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCad
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and SketchUp and other 3D modeling software a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of ADA surveys a plus
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • Architectural registration preferred
